Healthkart and me!!!

Hello everyone!!!
I  hauled a bit again and this time was from a online shopping site HealthKart .com.
I would like to share my experience with you guys.
HealthKart .com is an online shopping site. It deals with health products ,medical equipment, makeup ,skin and hair care ad baby products as well.

What is health kart.com
 I had ordered a few products from them..and here's my experience /
I had ordered the following products,
  1. Faces mineral blush in amber rose
  2. Faced mineral lip stick in maple fudge
  3. Deborah milano lip gloss in chocolate

Sorry I forgot to click pics of the parcel as I was in such a hurry to try the products...:P:P:P:
The order was placed on 4th October night and on the 5th i got a confirmation call .The parcel reached my doorstep on the 8th !!! This sure was super fast. The payment I opted for was  via Cash on delivery mode .
The packaging was done well though the outer box was slightly  misshapen.
However the products were taped and neatly wrapped in bubble wrap. There was no thermocol though, maybe with more fragile products, they would use that.

Whai I Liked About the SITE:

  1.  A huge variety of medical  and non medical products.Great Home devices and baby products too!!
  2. Easy to navigate the site.
  3. Cash on delivery option available.Am a sucker for online shopping but at the same time am not comfortable divulging my details online :P:P
  4. The service was very quick and prompt.
  5. Free shipping * above 500 INR.
  6. Good discounts.
What I wished For :

  1. Some more Makeup brands.Since I am more into makeup I wish there was more makeup..greedy I know
  2. The main page for a product does not show its out of stock. When you click on the product after a search and narrowing down on the product .It shows as out of stock!!!!so much of a disappointment then...Please correct this feature guys!!

Will I shop from them again : Yes I will... some more makeup  brands please
Have You shopped from Healthkart.com??
What did you experience??

Avon Foot works Pediabrasion Foot cream Review

hello girlies!! how are we all doing.Recently have been trying a lot of Avon products (and liking them quite a bit too!).Last month came across this product ,which is a boon for lazy people like me I think who have no time to sit propped up in the parlours and get pedicures done monthly !!

The Avon Foot Works Pedibrasion Foot Cream
What Is it?
It is a cream based scrub for the feet. It  is supposed to be used after a bath or soaking your feet in water for some time(basically getting the skin soft) and then after leaving the cream on for 60 seconds ...scrub it off!!
finally rinse with water for new soft feet!!!

What they say!
Pediabrasion uses the microdermabrasion technology that exfoliates and moisturises  feet.
The exfoliating powers of daimond gem dust blasts away  dead layers of skin to reveal new priceless skin in one easy step

  •  Contains aluminium oxide to help exflouate dead cells.
  • leaves feet eergised and feeling refreshed.
  • improves overall skin appearance
  • leaves skin looking healthier.
  • Caluses are softened and less visible.

My Experience with the product
It comes in a tube with a screw on cap.The product is creamy with very fine particles and spreads very easily.
It does give a good clean up to the feet.
However I wish the particles were a little more coarse.,Keeping in mind the feet have very rough skin.and lot of  dead calloused skin, the very fine particles seem to fall a bit short.
I have used it 3 times as of now and have definitely noticed my feet cleaner with this.
Whether they soften feet as well, will be apparent only after longer use,I think.

Price 150 INR .. i got it for RS 119 on offer  for 50 ml.

What I liked about the product
  • It comes in a tube form ..so very hygienic.I just wish the cap was a flip top type...since unscrewing the cap with wet hands ...errr...is clumsy.....
  • It smells really nice.. Its a floral cum minty smell I think....
  • It gives a good clean up to dirty feet and effectively removes dirt and dead skin.

What I did not like about the product:
  • Its available only through Avon reps.
  • The quantity is very small..and will run out soon.
  • Its a bit expensive for the quantity available...I have used the VLCC kit and the entire kit cost me 300 INR which included the scrub, soak, cream and spray!
Overall  a nice ,easy, on the go mini  pedicure for the feet.Makes the feet smell and look clean.

Will I repurchase ?
IF on offer again yes ,,ALso will see the long term benefit in terms of skin softening, and callous removal etc.

MAC coppertone blush...Review and swatch

MAC !!!
okayyyyyy Ladies...I had hauled a lotta MAC somewhere last month..just b4 my birthday..and after contemplating and contemplating and thinking and swatching and boring people(sorry Ik and Rati)...i finally got this beauty.
MAC COPPERTONE MATTE BLUSH
What MAC says!
Ok it says nothing...or maybe that says it all!!
Price Rs 1000 INR

The Product
MAC has  5 types of blush finishes in powder :Matte , Frost, Satin, Sheertone ( which goes on sheer), and Sheertone shimmer (with shimmer).
Coppertone is a Matte finish blush.

About MAC coppertone...
This is a beautiful shade for all indian skin tones. Though it might look a bit  muddy on very fair /pale skin.
This is a beautiful shade for using as a blush as well as contouring.
Makes for a great work place blush:))).It is a brownish peachish kinda shade...not really coppery !!

The things I really like :
  •  The texture..its smooth and blends like a dream...It gives a nice natural flush to my NC 42 skin..
  • The pigmentation is good.
  • The lasting power is around 4 hours maximum..by the end of which also it fades a bit on me ( thanks to humid mumbai weather and my slick  oily skin).
  • It is beautiful for contouring ..I use it with my color bar  blush (peachy rose) as  well to add more depth and dimension to my rounded (read chubby ) cheeks!
  • I think it is a pretty shade for all indian skin tones ,except very pale tones....
  • Its MAC!!
What I dont really like
  • The price ....But its Mac afterall.Colorbar blushes have more pigmentation than MAC blushes and I just have used AvON ..which is insanely pigmented..
  • There is no mirror and no brush available .I can get the brush not being there  since to get a super blended effect the small brushes usually provided would be  useless,Okayyy...I get that ..But no mirror????That gets my twitch going
Overall ...an Okay blush with fair enough pigmentation and lasting power.

WILL I RE BUY??
not the same shade for sure...want to try some other shades..... MAC has such an amazing array of wonderfulcolors...May pick up some  other color when am not budget constrained....
Which is your Favorite MAC blush??
Please share...!!!

LOREAL ENDLESS LIP COLOR REAL RAISIN 540

Hello  ladies.
Hope you all are doing fine!!am good ,have been a bit irregular ..but am back on track..
Today I will be reviewing my favorite Loreal lip color .from the endless range which is a long lasting range -shade no 540 REAL RAISIN

What the site mentions!!:
  • Breakthrough patented gentle-seal technological innovation
  • Colour stays correct and at ease up to eight hrs
  • Produced in Paris
Can a lip color very last 8 several hours with no torturing your lips? Now it can, in one particular best stick. Unlike traditional lengthy-sporting lipcolour that depart lips dry, countless at ease 8-hour lipcolour retains lips soft and supple with shade that stays true.Anti fade with great moisturising!!

About the Lip stick
It is a smooth creamy lip color which glides easily on my lips and stays put for 5 hours without eating . It is a transfer resistant lip color, though does not stand true to the claim of the 8 hour stay.It will fade away even;ly though and leaves a mild tint.
The shade is a beautiful warm winish coral which suits my NC 42 skin tone well.It would suit most skin tones

sorry for the poor pic!! my cam Out of service..making do with the mobile

moi

What I love about the lip color( am on my 2 nd tube now)
  • It is creamy and glides on super smooth.
  • The finish and coverage is pretty opaque and is extremely good for highly pigmented lips.
  • It does not feather.
  • Does not dry out my lips
  • Does not cake.
  • It lasts fairly well around 4.5 to 5 hours..without eating.
  • It is a very pretty shade and will suit most skin tones.
  • Smells like vanilla ( i think ...like all loreal lippies)

What I dont like about lipcolor
  • since its creamy It bleeds a little ...have to use it with a lip liner .
  • Its pretty expensive...Rs 680 now Rs 715 for a tube!(300 bucks more and can get a MAC lippie).

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN...I want to,,,but just last week the SA at Lifestyle told me that they are OOS !!!! and I cannot get it anywhere..One of the SA s mentioned they are going to be relaunched!I hope they are soon
RATING: 4.8/5...-0.2 for the price!!
Have you ever used Endless lipcolor by Loreal ????

DKNY BE DELICIOUS GREEN APPLE REVIEW....

There are so  many things that make us happy.....somethings bring a smile to our face even when we think of them....The product that I will be reviewing today is  something like that....only the thought is enough to make me break in to  a smile:)...As I write this post this on a sunday evening, experiencing premature moday morning blues,,,,I am suddenly not so sullen anymore....and I have not even gone near the product as yet....

DKNY(Donna Karan New York) BE DELICIOUS GREEN APPLE EDP......
What The Site mentions:
The first DKNY perfume for women was Be Delicious, which is a fragrance appropriate for daytime wear.  The top notes are green with hints of violet leaf, apple, grapefruit, and magnolia.  The heart of the fragrance is made up of tuberose, lily of the valley, rose, and violet.  The scent finishes with hints of sandalwood, amber and musk.
A fruity-floral fragrance that brings out the freshness, brightness and energy of its wearer, the DKNY Be Delicious perfume is perfect for that charming feminine lady who is bold and outgoing. The lively fragrance opens like a green apple both crisp and tart before mellowing into a scent that is so romantic and earthly. It is like a young virgin, so fresh and heavenly, that will make you eager to take a bite and yet unbearable to see her hurt.:P:P
My experience with the perfume...

It is a very MAKE ME HAPPPY kind of fragrance....for me....The smell is very very fresh,.....it instantly remnids me of green granny smith apples.Crisp, very crisp ,juicy with the right amount of tartness to them.Another whiff I get is a lilttle cucmbery and melony...like a musky melony melony:).Also after some time the fragrance settles down to a more sweet fruity smell. also a little bit musky. In my expereince I found it to be more fruity than floral....After lasting for a few hours it settles down to a whiff of musky smoothess....
It is available in 4 varieties of be delicious original(green),red delicious(floral red),fresh blossom(floral pink),delicious night(purple coloured bottle). Also they have varities like juiced and candy....YUMMM!!!

What I LOVED :
  • It makes me happy....and by that  I really mean happy...it literally brings a smile to my face when I wear it..:)))
  • Its a crisp,fresh,fragrance for daytime
  • It can be worn very comfortably to work, for shopping a day out.,a luncheon, just about anything
  • Its glamorous and the girl next door at the same time.
  • Lasts fairly well around 6 - 8 hours on me..but lightens considerably by the end of this time..
  • i got it for 2385INR  from fashion and you, where as  the shops sell it for around 4000 INR +
  • It is good for people who hate strong in your face perfumes as well!
What I DID NOT LOVE:
  • It does not last very long ,like maybe escada magnetism....
  • It might not appeal to those who dont like fruity smells.
MY VERDICT
its a gorgeous day time perfume for every age....(makes me feel young :P)would definetely rebuy....
Have you all used this as yet...???
tell tell!!!:P

OH!! why did not thee meet me before???SATIN MATTE Lip Color by FACES

hey all
Today I will be reviewing..something that I did not know existed...I had heard and Read about FACES cosmetics ,which supposedly are from CANADA....however it was their eye pencils which have been blogged about the most.
I was just browsing through their other products...( after I bought a super creamy, long stay eye pencil in black..will review that soon as well)when I chanced upon these beauties..
FACES LIP COLOR IN SATIN MATTE:
FROM THE SITE:
Colored shades to enhance the lips. Infused with Vitamin E to protect and moisturize with each beautifying application. FACES’ lipsticks come in over 180 shades in matte, sheer, cream and shimmer finishes.

There is no other detail on the site about the type of lipstick Satin matte is..:(

the berry brown  (Left)and the cordovan(Right)

single swipe swatches......berry brown and cordovan

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT
i purchased two shades from their range
  • berry brown..which on me looks more berry than brown
  • cordovan which is a mauvish brown shade..
The lip color comes in a plain black lipstick case which is nothing grand, but does give a decent look...
the lip color on application is extremely smooth and creamy, and later settles to  a semi matte finish.I loved the shades I have. They last well on me..around 4-5 hours .It fades evenly and does not settle into my fine lip lines..

What I loved::))
  • The absolute creamy and smooth texture of the lipstick.also the fact that it settles down to give a semi mate effect
  • It does not settle/accentuate my fine lines.
  • It does not dry my lips..in fact it is very moisturising for my lips(which are mature and wrinkly:P)
  • In fact there is something i noted with this lip color...It plumps up my puckerssss.....i have not seen it being mentioned on the site.....and neither did the SA mention it...but it does!!!!!
  • It fades very evenly
  • Lasts fairly long around 4-5 hours with non oily mild eating...( after a particularly oily meal :P...of course it vanished.
  • It gives me such a good feeling that I do not mind reapplying it anywhere and everywhere..
  • very reasonably priced..rs 299 for  4 gm...( i got it at 20% off at 239:)))))))))
  • when it settles down ,it is partly non transferable....
What i did not like
  • Not easily available
  • the Faces counter also did not have all the shades mentioned on the site
  • since its so creamy it tends to bleed and I have have have to use a lip liner with it.....

The shades I have
  1. Berry brown...very pretty berry color>( i do not have a single reddish shade..and this looks so wineish/burgundyish berryish on me...It brightens my face even without any makeup.
  2. Cordovan..which is a mauvish brown...is my MLBB shade very on the go kinda shade...will suit all skin tones.....
rating 4.5/5......-0.5 for the poor availability....
will i repurchase??
yes surely but in a different shade now:)
Have you tried them?????
lemme know!!!

the bow:)

My experience with the perfume...
I got it for Rs 2895 for 100 ml bottle(actual price is around 4000+ for this size)

me myself and my lip color!!

Hello all ,
I came across this qoute and loved it..

"If I had to teach someone just one thing about lip color it would be this: Find a lipstick that looks good on your face when you are wearing absolutely no makeup." -- Bobbi Brown, "Beauty"

As you all know am a huge lipstick hoarder....I keep on hoarding lipsticks whenever possible..am also a foundatio hoarder ,but that is another post worthy....
A few days ago, I was  just sitting and staring at my lipstick collection...( i do that often...:P),I realised to my shock that most of the shades owned by me are berry /brown berry/mauve toned colors. What happens is whnever I buy a lip color (which is very often),I am scared to experiment.I play safe with these shades because they know they would look goood on me....
Ashamed to inform you I have no.Reds/Corals/oranges in my collection.
Whenever the SA shows me a red ,i wince and pass the shade.Ditto for the orange /coral shades.

So i thought about doing this post. What lip colors would suit you??what are your safe ones ?which are the ones to avoid....??

While picking the right shade is as easy as going a couple shades darker than your natural lip color, we can delve just a wee bit deeper in the science of shades and skin tone.

Women with fair skin, look great in lipstick shades such as nudes in a slightly apricot shade, pinks and light corals. Stay away from browns, which will appear meh!!

fair katie!
Those with a medium skin tone can go a bit darker. You'll look great in roses, mauves and berries. Skip the bright reds and consider a deep burgundy instead. ( i fall here)...

fair--medium skin tones
Deep plum, chocolate or red is fabulous with dark skin.

beautiful dusky skin...

How to Pick the Right Shade of Red

Many women wrongly believe they can't wear red lipstick. The secret to choosing the right red lip color is in the undertones. Pink-skinned girls should opt for cherry red.medium skin tones can go for burgundy and wine... Those with olive skin can wear fire-engine red. Dark skin looks great with deep reds.

I have now decided to hunt for my perfect red....burgundy according to this post....:)
letting go of your inhibitions is the key i think..for me at least...:)

What are your fav lip color shades??
Do you own reds /orages??

MY(I) HATE LOVE STORY maybelline colossal volume mascara waterproof

hello every one....am back after a long long time today......My lappy had crashed and then the Internet had to be reinstalled which already was giving problems earlier..so :P
but am back for good now..

All of us have read (soppy) Mills and boon stories ok...i admit i thot they were romantic  ones inititally, but after a  point realised they are all the same.
Girl meek..meets rugged boy..hate at first sight...then takraar then love then break up and then finally love.........<3 <3 <3

My review today is typically like a M$B kinda story.......with some modifications obviously......:)
The review is about one of the most talked about mascaras in the blogging world....

MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL VOLUME  MASCARA.I have been reading and reading blog raves and rants..about this thing....most of the reviews I have read are strongly positive ones.here is mine.....A luv story which like a typical M$B story started with disgust and hate.

Read on................
I first purchased this mascara after all the positive reviews around 3 months ago.I  was expecting a 7 fold  volume increase as the company claimed ,and ok the volume increase around 3 times (so much for the 7 time claim) was good but GOD the thing was so so difficult to remove...it just stuck, and took me several minutes to remove the sticky thing....i was using my eye makeup remover and it tugged so bad at my eyes...with no results....
I tried it a couple of times more and then gave up totally. completely disgusted with its stickiness..was using a borjouis one for a while...
one fine day,i could not locate my borjouis mascara.....and this bright yellow thing lying disowned  at the bottom of my makeup box, seemed to be calling me....I applied it hesitantly and  and left for the occasion..I had worn it to an outing and git so many compliments on how my eyes looked...one friend even asked me the name of the mascara I was using.....and then I fell in love again.........
Since then  have been using it every single day..And I use cotton with oil to wipe it..and it comes off easily.......and now my borjouis is being used sparingly......
see if I had known about the oiled cotton earlier ,I could have prevented a heartbreak.but then you guys would be missing such a bitter sweet love affair....no??

What I love about the mascara:)
  • its a liquid formulation, not too thick or too runny.....
  • There is a good amount of volume increase but not 7 times as the company claims....
  • the length increase is also at least twice....at least in m y case...
  • The wand is thick and coats the lashes well in one stroke.
  • I have purchased the water proof variety and it stays for the whole day ,by this I do mean the whole day.
  • does not irritate eyes.
  • Does not flake or dry...
  • Reasonable esp for your daily mascara fix...
  • does not smudge .After application it dries quickly and does not spread even if you rub your eyes accidentally.
What I do not like about it
  • The fact that it is a bit clingy....although that's a positive thing for any mascara to be long lasting,I still don't like the fact that It is so stubborn   :smug:
  • The big wand may poke the eyes if not carefully used . the inner lashes esp to  reach are difficult.....:I
  • Two coats may cause clumpiness which increases the time to remove it in a direct ratio...
Will I repurchase..surely now!!! coz its really is a happy ending!!

Sigma E25 eyeshadow blending brush Travel size

hey all
I am going to review the Sigma E 25 blending brush today. This was sent  by SIGMA to me and have been using it as around 2 weeks now.
I am  okay at eye makeup.Seriously ok,,I mean I do have TBS eyeshadow brushes, but I really don't do smokey looks as often since I feel I look weird in them. After using this brush I realised that  it was because I was not blending my shadows well .They were streaky so they looked weird and garish. Now with this amazing brush ,I have realised that blend blend blend is the key to hot eye makeup!!
About the brush
About Sigma E25 Blending Brush:

splayed  after a wash!!

Oval-shaped brush with gently chiseled sides. Blends and softens the look of powder or cream shadows. Ideal to apply eye shadow primer, base eye shadow colors, and blend harsh lines.

My experience with the brush:
  • It is a compact travel size version of the Sigma E25.The wand is grey with a white brush head.
  • Its a fluffy brush with a tapered end.It can be used for anything....applying shadow, crease, blending of course since it is a blending brush.
  • I also apply my concealer with it and blend for a seamless look and it works wonders!!!:))))
  • It is apparently as effective  as the MAC 217 and cheaper too.(apparently, coz i dont have any MAC but have heard that the two are comparable)
  • It does not shed  after having washed so many times
  • however it splays ,so its important to  reshape it after wash.
  • I  love it and now want to buy the F80 and the e45 which are great as well...but am having some problems with the paypal thing:((((
  • You can have a look at Sigma brushes here.An amazing range ,and easy on the pockets(hello MAC!)

Overall  I love love love it....wish I could get a few more for myself ,But online shopping is a pain!!!!
Do you have this beauty??
?How do you find it??

MAC studio fix powder foundation review

Heloooooo pretty mahilas/kudis,how are you all doing???
Today am back with another review of another foundation.Ya ya ya ...again,but kya karen am always trying(and buying) new ones....and have ample excuses to do so.
This one today is  the MAC studio fix powder foundation. Its a all in one thingie...perfect for lazy souls like me.....
here's the review

What  It Claims:
From the site and the net.
Studio Fix is a powder and foundation in one that combines good coverage with ease of application! One-step application of foundation and powder! Designed to be used dry, the powder and pigments create a matte, velvety texture! It contains Silica, which helps to maintain a matte finish by absorbing oils on the skin as well as Talc to provide a smoother, less reflective, matte finish! The talc has been milled to a microscopic size to provide a beautiful texture while allowing the skin to breathe! Gives skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte, full-coverage finish! Long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours! A real all-in-one! The choice of Pros and a long time favourite of MAC fans! It is available in a wide range of colours! It can be applied with a brush, sponge or a powder puff!

amount:
15 g / .52 oz

Price ...ahem ahem.....1600 INR.

What is the studio fix powder foundation.
First why did I even want one...

  • I have so many  4 actually liquid ones and 2 souffle ones .Also a powder one.But I did not have powder one from  MAC, you see::P
  • liquid foundations are time consuming and have to be blended really well or they can look streaky...which again means hard work...me lazy..so wanted something quick and easy..esp.when I want to go to work...
  • Its terribly hot and humid in Mumbai and I wanted a matte look for the summers.
  • Are these enough...the excuses I mean??these were what I gave my husband too and he seemed  pretty convinced...at least I like to believe that he was....

The product
It comes in a classic black flip top case with a nice  click to indicate proper locking .Beneath the powder is a compartment which holds a sponge. It also has a mirror which I love.I do not use the sponge often.
I use it with my buffer brush for medium coverage.

What I Love Love Love about it??
  • its a super soft velvety sheer finish powder foundation. The shade I use is NC 42.It gives me a good coverage(medium to full). Its a buildable product. When used with sponge the coverage will be medium to full. When used with kabuki brush the coverage is sheer to medium.
  • No fragrance.
  • The finish is matte and lasts long around 4-5 hours(claims of 8 hours are not really true.Maybe its the weather here :(()
  • Its super easy to use and I love the fact that even novices can use it
  • It does not look cakey if blended well with the kabuki.
  • I do not prime my face everyday since summers have gone...but I moisturize really well ,so it does not flake or dry.
  • It has not broken me out(have been using it for almost a month now).
  • It controls the oiliness well for 4 hours in an AC environment.
  • this is my HG foundation...(as of now)
  • This will really last long... almost One month since used and not even dented yet!!
What I did not like :
There should have been a kabuki brush from MAC alongwith(GRREEEDDYY)).
other than that me cant complain!!
Will I repurchase???
YESSSSSS!!!!
Rating 4.5 /5
-0.5 for no brush
Have you guys used this????
Ty it out!!

I LEARNT SOMETHING NEW!!!!DRYING YOUR BRUSHES

hey all
This post is based on the I learnt something new series.Am sure all of you know how to do this but I just learnt a few new pointers and thought would share them with you.
All Of us know the secret to great makeup in addition to the persons skill of course ,a re the brushes used.
Therefore   its wise to invest in  good quality brushes.I do not own any from MAC ,but from The Body shop,Ambika Pillai, bourjois, and one Sigma brush.(which I will review soon)
Since I do not own any duplicats ,I dread washing my brushes, because then they take long long to dry and am left with nothing to do my makeup:(
So I searched On the internet about the correct way to wash and dry your brushes and here's  what I found......

CARING FOR YOUR BRUSHES :

  • Your makeup brushes will last for many years, or even a lifetime, if well taken care of.  On average brushes should be washed about every two weeks.
  • All Brushes should be washed before first use.And dried completely .only then they should be used. This helps decrease shedding.
  •  For wash ,you can use  a   mild shampoo or anti-bacterial hand cleaner.
  • If your brush is made of natural hair, use a   little hair conditioner mixed in the shampoo/cleanser.  This will keep the bristles soft.
  • Take the shampoo or cleanser into your palm and swish the brushes gently tip first into the palm.then slowlyrun your fingers through the bristles to let the cleanser spread well.
  • Another method would be to make a cleansing solution with shampoo and some water in a  bowl and swirl them in  a bowl
  • for rinsing, gently rub in your fingers to clean all bristles(esp for kabuki /powder thick brushes).
  • Wash till water runs clear. Then squeeze them and wrap the head in a paper towel or a cloth towel...( I use a clothtowel)
  • Make sure not to wet the plastic stem or the part of the bristles closest to the stem.
  • leave them to dry upside down. This is  because leaving them to dry out standing will cause water to seep in the base and will loosen  the glue hold .
  • For kabukis, they should be tied with a rubber bannd around the midlle and then suspended from a  hanger or a hook upside down,so the drying process speeds up!

How often should they be washed..??
Now some sources mention every week,Some mention every 2-3 days...Of course if they are terribly dirty they have to be washed asap!!
Some sites mention they should be washed a s often as we wash our hair..now thats difficult for me,,,,coz I wash my hair practically everyday !!!
What I do is wash them every sunday and then thursday night!!
Another thing that could be done is wash them once a weelk or every 10 days but clean them with a hand cleanser like himalya hand sanitiser or such every 2 days to prevent cakeup of products!!
How did you find the article??how do you guys wash your brushes
.share your tips!!!
P.S the images have been taken from the web.If someone has copyright issues please let me know and I will remove them.

LIZ AND EARLE CLEANSE AND POLISH HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

Hey everyone,Today I will be reviewing a very unique product.....We all have seen and used cleansers and makeup removers  which are creamy ,foamy, scrubby, or oily. The product that I will be reviewing today is a cleanser and makeup remover all in one.
LIZ AND EARLE CLEANSE AND POLISH HOT CLOTH  CLEANSER.

The company's philosophy:

Our principles are the same today as they were on day one.

Our skincare products

Our products really work on every skin type by harnessing the potent powers of the finest quality ingredients. They can really make a positive difference to the health and appearance of your skin.

Simplicity

We don't complicate things. We love simple, fuss-free, gentle and effective products that are honestly priced.

Service

We do everything we can, from the personal way we answer the phone to beautifully hand-wrapping every item. We try never to let you down in all that we do, but if something's not right, call us.

Environment

It's our legacy too, so we're always working on improving our environmental impact. We know we are not perfect but the more we do, the better we get. Read about our environment.

Animal testing

We never do it.
BUAVCruelty free

Patch testing

Our products are formulated to be extremely gentle and are used by many people with sensitive skin. However, as a common sense precaution, we recommend a patch test is carried out at least 24 hours prior to first application. Two of the best places to test are the inside of the upper arm and behind the ear.

Ingredients

High quality, safe, naturally active ingredients are our priority.

Vitamin E

We only use potent, premium natural source vitamin E, never synthetic.

No animal ingredients

None of our ingredients are of animal origin (except beeswax, propolis and manuka honey). All products are suitable for vegetarians.

Only mineral sunscreens

We only use mineral sun filters to provide the best broad-spectrum UV protection and to reduce the risk of skin allergy.

No mineral oils

We prefer plant oils to mineral oils. We don't use mineral oil, paraffin wax, petrolatum or any fractions of crude oil or primary petro-chemicals.

No genetically engineered ingredients

None of our products contain genetically engineered or modified organisms.

Organic ingredients

We 'go organic' wherever we can and our in-house Ethnobotanist supports sustainability and local community growers.

Preservatives

Some of our formulations are preservative-free. We do use preservatives when absolutely essential for product safety. Where natural preservatives are not available, we use relatively low concentrations of the highest grade, broad-spectrum preservatives.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

They only make one cleanser because this formulation is the ultimate in concentrated yet gentle cleansing power and works on every age and skin type.

The plant-based cleanser has a 2-phase action.
  •  phase 1 is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make-up, even stubborn mascara.
  • Phase 2 is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to help gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.
Naturally active ingredients

Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) - This rich, creamy butter which has moisturising effects on the skin is made from the roasted seeds of the cocoa tree, the same seeds that give us chocolate and cocoa.

Hops Extract (Humulus lupulus) - This herbal extract comes from the pinecone-like fruit of the hop plant and has astringent and toning properties.

Rosemary Essential Oil/Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis) - This renowned and once sacred herb has been used for centuries in beauty preparations. Rosemary essential oil has a fresh pungent aroma and is very invigorating and stimulating. The extract has beneficial antioxidant properties.

Chamomile Essential Oil/Extract (Anthemis nobilis) - This herb takes its name from the Greek kamai (ground) and melon (apple) because of the sweet apple-like fragrance it releases when trodden on. The essential oil is considered a gentle oil by aromatherapists and medical herbalists have used chamomile for soothing the skin for centuries.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus globulus) - Native to Australia, eucalyptus shoots are a favourite food of the koala. The cooling essential oil produced from the leaves and twigs has decongestant properties and is used by aromatherapists to ease muscular aches and pains.

D-panthenol - Otherwise known as pro-vitamin B5, this B vitamin is necessary for the normal functioning of the skin and has a moisturising effect. It also helps stimulate cellular renewal.

Glycerin - The glycerin we use is always vegetable derived. It is a humectant (attracts water), drawing atmospheric water onto the skin to aid hydration.

Beeswax (Cera alba) - The beeswax used in Naturally Active Skincare comes from the honeycombs in which bees store their pollen. It has skin protecting properties and helps to relieve chapped skin.

My Experience with the product:
The sample sent to me was a 30 ml tube.It came along with a  muslin cloth. It was wrapped very prettily in a butter paper with a sticker label saying LIZ EARLE(soorryy forgot to take pictures)
There was a very sweet handwritten not along with it  too...That had me there completely....A very nice personal touch..:)

The Cleanser was a thick creamy paste like substance mildly smelling of eucalyptus.....It spreads easily on the face and neck and gets absorbed quickly
There was no oiliness at all.
The 2nd step involves soaking the muslin cloth in hand hot water and after wringing  it  use it as a polisher..over the face.
And oh boy is it effective???
you bet it is
When I trie The product for the first time.,i did so in the morning after getting up.
I had wiped my makeup at night with my regular makeup cleanser, which I fell errrr.. felt is really effective.
I had not expected anything to show on the muslin cloth atuially since My face was bare and well cleansed last night..
But this is what I saw....

EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!
and I thought I cleast my face  the previous night!!!!!

What I loved
  • it is easily absorable and non oily.
  • tube form,so hygiene mantianed,
  • Doesn't dry out my skin.
  • Doesn't break me out  or clog my pores
  • the smell is subtle and not overpowering.
  • cleans every last trace of makeup :)))).
  •  No anmial testing or ingredients..
  •  Only a tiny amount is sufficient for the entire face and neck so  will go a long way.
What I did not like
  • some lazy people (like me ) do not like to wash the cloth and dry it before next use :P
  • its available only online..
Overall verdict
This is a very unique concept and very  effective too.The price is a bit on the higher side but would be worth every penny if it is available in india and not only online..:)
have you tried it....to buy it visit their site here
